It appears that Liane Wilson has taken out a membership at the Institute of Coaching in the spring of 2024 as she tries to sell her new Business Courses online.
For $75 per month, you can obtain an “FELLOW membership” online through the Institute of Coaching. “Anyone can sign up to be a Fellow member of the IOC,” and they will publish your profile without verification.
Institute of Coaching Statment:
“Currently, anyone can register to be a Fellow member of the IOC, they simply need to complete the membership dues. By the beginning of 2025, this will be changing and Fellow members will need to complete criteria to be considered a Fellow. Intermittently, however, we do have a code of conduct and commitment to wellbeing that each member must uphold”
When trying to contact the IOC, their number appears not in service. The mailing address is located at McLean Hospital, which houses the “Mail Stop 314.”
Upon investigation, ONLY THE HOSPITALis affiliated with Harvard as a teaching hospital. The hospital website states: “McLean Hospital is a leader in psychiatric care, research, and education and is the largest psychiatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.” (that seems to be where the affiliation ends.)
The hospital’s mailing address may be the only connection to Harvard Medical School through its affiliation with the physical building. The Institute of CoachingTerms & Conditions strictly prohibits affiliation with Harvard Medical School.
CALLS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE HOSPITAL FOR CONFIRMATION, AND THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY SUCH ORGANIZATION
Terms and Conditions Cont:
You may not use the Harvard shield anywhere, and you may not say you are a member of Harvard’s Institute of Coaching.
