If you have left Liana Shanti’s community, or are thinking about it, you may feel alone, unsure whether to trust your own judgment, or cut off from people you were close to. Former members who have shared their experiences publicly describe exactly these feelings. This page points you to the Liana Shanti support group, an Instagram account where people who have left are speaking to each other, and explains what to expect there.
What the Liana Shanti support group is
@lianashanti_whistleblowers is an Instagram account that publishes posts built from screenshots of Liana Shanti’s public statements alongside first-person accounts from people who say they were part of her community. It began posting in early October 2026 and adds new posts regularly. Liana Shanti Watch does not run the account. What contributors say is their own account of their experience, and we have not verified it.
What people share there
Contributors, some named and some anonymous, describe experiences such as these:
- pressure to keep paying for programs, and borrowing or going into debt to do so
- being removed from the community, or shunned, after asking questions or requesting a refund
- teaching about Jesus, Satan and “darkness” that left them afraid of losing their connection or of time away from the group
- a private-group culture in which loyalty earned standing and confidences were not kept
- self-doubt and a sense of being lost after leaving
Comments under the posts add more first-person recollections from other former members. They are public and unverified, and some viewers disagree. Reading them is not the same as taking part, and you can read quietly for as long as you like.
Who this page is for
This page is for anyone who has left, is questioning, or is supporting someone who has left Liana Shanti’s community. You might be a former member, a family member, or someone who found her programs online and feels uneasy about them. There is no right way to feel, and nobody is required to speak.
If you are looking for a Liana Shanti support group, keep in mind that this Instagram account is not a therapy service and is not run by professionals. It is a place to read what others have shared, recognise your own experience in theirs, and decide for yourself what to do next.

Looking after yourself
You do not have to share anything to be part of the Liana Shanti support group. Go at your own pace. Comments and follows on social media can be seen by others, including people still in the community, so check your privacy settings and think about what you post publicly. A therapist who understands coercive control or high-demand groups can help you work through what happened. If you are in distress or feel unsafe, call or text 9-8-8 in Canada or 988 in the United States, or contact your local emergency number.
