On 2 November 2026 CTV’s W5 released part one of a five-part investigation into Liana Shanti (Liane Wilson), including the report “Canadians win massive defamation suit against alleged cult leader.” According to W5, the Hawaii civil jury awarded three Canadians C$56 million (US$40.1 million), and Shanti plans to appeal.
